WHERE IS HUNGARY?

Hungary is a medium-sized country within the European Union with about 10 million inhabitants.
It lies in the heart of Central Europe surrounded by the beautiful Carpathian Mountains.
It’s pleasant four season climate makes it well suited for winter sports as well as classic summer activities.
Hungary’s Lake Balaton – the largest lake in Central Europe – is a popular holiday destination for foreigners and locals alike. Budapest, the capital city, has a lot to offer any visitor interested in history, architecture, or food and wine.

WHY CHOOSE HUNGARY?

The state universities of Hungary originated in the 13th and 14th centuries with Royal institutions.
Naturally, a lot of changes have taken place since then, one of the biggest being the opening of the first international educational programs in the mid 1980’s.
On May 1st 2004 Hungary became a member of the European Union. This means that degrees acquired at Hungarian
universities are given automatic acceptance, and in some cases an automatic license to practice.
Since the 80’s numerous universities have developed international curricula and there is a vast
range of prestigious universities offering programs taught in English.
Budapest and other university towns also offer a versatile international community for students who decide to choose them as home for their university years.

Apart from it’s natural and cultural beauty, Hungary is an attractive place for students because of the relatively low cost of living compared to most other EU countries.
Tuition fees for universities are also more affordable than institutions of the same prestige and standard elsewhere in the area. Hungary uses the Hungarian Forint as it’s currency, which has a more favourable exchange rate with foreign currencies than for instance the Euro or Dollar.

About converzum

Our school was established in 1991 with the mission to create a supportive community by bringing together language learners and language teaching mentors.
Our goal is to make language learning a shared and fun experience. We strongly believe that we redefine language learning for those who choose us. After getting to know the needs and aims of our partners we devise tailor-made syllabi.
This enables our teachers to improve our students’ language competence with maximum efficiency.

STAFF

Our teachers are our greatest assets and our complex recruitment procedure enables us to select the most suitable candidates. In addition to a face-to-face interview candidates are required to fill in a methodology questionnaire and to teach a demonstration lesson.
Teachers are continuously monitored (via in-class observations, post-lesson discussions, teacher evaluation forms) and supported by our lead teachers. Professional development workshops and conferences are also offered.
Our office staff make sure that administration is thorough. They help students with any matter that might come up throughout the duration of the course.
